Kisses a todos/as!!

Bea H.

IN ENGLISH!!!

Welcome to this Blog, a world of artwork and rock n roll, a combination of engaging stories about the protagonist Harv's life as a singer in his long career with rock bands along with the paintings and drawings he has created over his years as an artist. Also included is a great section on Myths and Legends of Northern Ireland. This area features fantastic characters and creatures from throughout the history of Northern Ireland, written by Spanish writer Beatriz Guijarro Araque and illustrated by Harv.

The main character of the Blog itself is, of course, Harv who is an artist in every sense of the word. His paintings and drawings are well known in Belfast, his birthplace and their place of origin. I hope that you enjoy Harv's artwork and don't worry, I will ensure that you do not suffer from what is known as ' Stendhal syndrome' as examples of his work will appear little by little to ensure that you don't get too much all at once!

He is unique! A term for his multiple personalities as artist, singer and songwriter have not yet found a place in the dictionaries. In this Blog we are going to talk about the subjects closest to Harv's heart outside of his family. These are rock music and art and there will be many amazing and interesting stories about his life with the many bands he has fronted as well as his experiences as a teenager growing up in Belfast. These will be for all audiences! These will show Harv to be somewhat of a mad genius, full of life and an enthusiasm for everything he does as well as having a very interesting and eventful history.

In this post we want to focus on the unique aspect of 'art as fashion'! Never before has this been more relevant. Normally art is associated with paintings and objects which people desire to adorn their homes and offices...but I would like to start this particular post off by describing how people can now actually wear art...how sometimes FASHION can become ART!!
Which of you out there reading this would not like to wear famous brands? How many women (myself included of course) would not like to have a closet in your bedroom filled with a collection of shoes created by Louboutin?? Please raise your hand any of you who actually said no, and I'm asking just women here, although I'm sure some men would love to own these designer shoes too!! Well there you go, as I suspected I see no upraised hands. But of course the down side of this desire is that most of us cannot afford such luxuries, such brands of shoes are well outside our means of comfortably buying them! So hands up which of you can afford to do so? Again I see that most of you have your hands in your pockets, and not to show me the money necessary to purchase these exceptionally expensive items. But who is to say that we cannot have a pair of Louboutin creations in our homes? But instead of being destined to languish in your shoe cupboard, these versions of designer classics can hang in your living room, bedroom, hall or kitchen captured in all their beauty as original paintings and prints!

At some point during this modern era it became obvious that fashion could become Art, and Art Fashion! Everything within the world of art and design is now intertwined, undoubtedly connected and instantly recognisable. I mention the above because Harv has created a series of paintings featuring beautiful designer shoes which were created by him for people to have affordable brands in their homes, cool images that would actually last longer than the real shoes themselves and an example of what we have been talking about, art as fashion! Harv's designer shoes paintings can be found in the Blog art gallery.I hope you enjoy these creations by the artist as well as all the other great paintings featuring subjects wide and varied, portraits of rock legends, beautiful landscapes, scenes from cities, tattoos, male and female modern wrestlers and Belfast street scenes to name but a few.

The artwork is just one part of the Blog however and there will be many great and featured stories involving Harv's experiences growing up towards becoming a singer and the hugely varied incidents which have taken place over his lifetime, some sad, some serious, mostly funny, all exceptionally eventful and undoubtedly fascinating! Don't plan on reading them if you have somewhere to go as you'll sit open-mouthed reading the adventures and surely miss any appointments you've made, it's engrossing and you'll want to return time and again to read more! Many surprises await you, and even if you don't know Harv personally, by the time you have emersed yourself in the pages of this Blog you will feel a personal association with him that you will want to build on.
His multiple personalities ensure that his paintings, drawings, experiences and adventures are for everyone and for people of all ages and tastes. We will also be featuring great competitions for opportunities to get hold of Harv's artwork just in case there's the slim possibility of you becoming bored. This will also keep you coming back as these competitions will be held very frequently, so there will be lots of chances to win a prize!

So for now thank you all for dropping by and becoming part of the beginning of this exceptional Blog, you are as important to the Blog as the content within it, breathe easy, take it all in and most of all enjoy the stories and artwork in all it's formats. There will never be a time when you will feel indifferent to what lies ahead, even we don't always know the subject matter which will appear from week to week, there is so much to discover and we will be doing all that together as the Harv's Twisted Artwork family. Our motto is, 'Tomorrow more and always better'!

For now kisses to all,
see you again soon,
Bea H.
